PolkTX does not track school closures. Every district announces through its own system — website, Facebook, phone tree, or app — and those are the only reliable sources on an ice morning. When severe weather is forecast for Polk County, we automatically show links to all six districts so you can check them in one place. We never state whether a district is open.

How this page is maintained
District contact details and board meeting cadences are confirmed with each district and rechecked annually. Calendars link to the district's own published version rather than being copied here, so they cannot go stale.
